Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker

This is my first Belgian waffle maker and I chose this make/model after reading a lot of reviews.

Why I love this waffle maker:

1. Audible beeps tell me when a) iron is ready and 2) when waffles are done. I don't have the luxury of standing and watching for lights to go out (which is how some irons indicate readiness).
2. The nonstick surface works beautifully - no more picking away at the edge of a waffle that won't come loose. The waffles literally fall away from the iron.
3. The overflow tray - easy clean up.
4. Out of sight power cord storage.
5. Easy-to-clean exterior surface.

I tried the "overnight" recipe from the manual. Made super light, airy waffles, but they were a bit light on the "4" setting, so now use a setting nearer "5". Contrary to some user comments, I found that the included measuring cup fills the iron with too much batter. I also suggest taking it VERY easy with the non-stick spray. The irons do a terrific job of releasing the waffles, so don't overdo the spray because too much will definitely affect the waffle texture and color.

This iron cooks up a waffle in mere minutes and makes serving waffles just like those at restaurant Sunday brunches a breeze!Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker Review

The Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker is a big hit at my house. We find it quite easy to use: it beeps when it's time to add the batter and beeps again when the waffle is cooked. The non-stick surface is effective and makes for easy cleaning. The browning level selector is a big hit, since we don't all agree on crispness. And when young guests choose to make their own, the overflow tray comes in handy! So far it's a winner for us.

Warning: this is a Large waffle maker. Make sure you have storage room!Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

The waffles that the Waring Pro makes are equal to ones that I get at restaurants. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and I used to love going out to restaurants for breakfast. But because of this waffle maker, I now stay home. It comes with some recipes to make waffles, but those take a long time, so instead I bought the mix at a grocery store and tweaked it. For example, I add some real maple syrup, and use milk instead of water.

I've had waffles made by other home waffle makers and those always seem so wimpy compared to the ones that the Waring Pro makes.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker Best Quality

The Waring Pro Waffle maker makes the best Waffles We have ever tasted, even from a good resturant.
Browned very even, and made the true deep Belgian waffles.

I set the number to #4.
We like them crisp, Not burned.
It took about 6 mins and a few seconds for perfect waffles.

I hate to say it, but My Husband and I ate the whole batch, with maple syrup, and powdered a little powder sugar over them.

Usually if a machine is new like this, the first ones are not good.
But this machine put out perfect waffles with the very first one I made.

When I first saw this, I thought, oh no, the plates do not come out and its going
to be hard to wash/clean!
Not so, I just took a clean sponge, and a damp dish towel, it took less then 60 seconds and it was clean.

Before I put the batter in , I used a silicon brush, to brush the canolla oil on the top and bottom plates.
I did that before putting batter in for all the waffles I made.
Nothing stuck, and there was no oily taste.

I didn't make the waffles that came in the intstruction book, as you had to let those rise.I used baking powder instead. I made Bannana waffles, and beat the two egg whites separatly, then folded them in to my recipe,I also used non-fat milk.
Next time I'm going to try Whole Wheat pastry flour, instead of white flour.

TWO THUMBS UP. This is a winnner.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker Order Now

I am in love with this waffle maker - it far exceeded my expectations.

I have used these kinds of flipping waffle makers before in hotels and have always loved them but never thought you could actually have one at home and have it be affordable. When I ordered this I had two concerns: one, was is it going to be big enough and two, how long was it going to take between waffles.

When I made the first waffle, it took half of my pre-made mix so I knew right then it would be big enough. Then when it beeped that it was done in about a minute, my first thought was: oh great, the thing doesn't work. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up, it was done! Thick and crispy...in a minute! What a joy, I look forward to our Saturday morning waffle day!

I have had the product for a few weeks and have made waffles several times with success. It is easy to clean and sticking does not seem to be a problem with the use of Pam spray. So far, I would have to recommend Carbon's Golden Malted mix over the homemade (beat the egg whites and blend) recipe I tried. Even if you didn't like waffles, you would love the wonderful aroma! We like crispy-on-the-outside waffles so I keep the dial on 5 1/2. Time will tell how well the appliance continues to perform but so far I am quite pleased with the purchase.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

We have had ours for less than a year and it has seen light use. Perhaps a half dozen perfect waffles every month or two. Our office decided to do a waffle breakfast so I took the Waring Pro to work to strut its stuff.

The breakfast crowd numbered around fourteen. Although three waffle irons were going the "chef" decided to use the Waring exclusively because of the superior waffles it was turning out. This lasted until the machine had enough and actually had a partial meltdown. The machine was not mistreated other than put in continuous use on medium setting for probably thirty minutes to an hour if that can be considered mistreating.

For light home use I can recommend the Waring. For heavier applications beware. For true "professional" applications forget it and realized the professional (pro) in its name is for marketing purposes only. Professional waffle irons are 10X the price.

Remember you get what you pay for.

On that note I ordered a KitchenAid pro line waffle maker today.

Cheers,

Cheap Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker

Being so accustomed to eating the frozen Eggo waffles at home, I never knew that breakfast waffles could taste this great.

Construction is solid with a stainless steel constructed base that has rubber grips for stability. I use this on our center island in the kitchen. The drip pan is great for eliminating excessive mess on the counter top. The hand is plastic but solid in construction. The pan is constructed of a non-stick surface and is deep for adding additional ingredients like chocolate chips, blueberries, rasberries, chopped strawberries or anything else - obviously not in the same waffle!

The operation of this unit is simple: Pour in the batter, set the level of the browning knob, and listen for the ready beep tone. The non-stick pan allows for easy clean up.

The waffles come out great every time, cooking evenly and fluffy. No more frozen waffles at the breakfast table!

This one is a keeper.

I highly recommend this product.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Buy Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker

I purchased this waffle iron, because it is the same brand as the one in the work cafeteria... (which they have had for YEARS). Of course, the cafeteria has a bulky version of the waring pro, which looks like it's from the 70s, but it works great!!!

This one worked great... it made fluffy, evenly cooked waffles which my son loves!

Unfortunately, over time, it began to burn the waffles on the outside. I don't mind slightly burned waffles... but they were uncooked on the inside. I thought that perhaps it needed more lubrication, so I bought all types of sprays... even tried brushing oil on the surface before pouring the batter... but all to no avail. After seven desparate attempts, it is in the trash. I am quite at a loss what I should get as a replacement. I am unsure if it is bad luck, or whether the same thing will happen to the next one.

The one in the cafeteria still works...Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

I purchased this waffle iron as an upgrade from a previous one. We make waffles about one time per week and wanted a waffle iron which mimicked profession quality. We are sadly disappointed. It lasted exactly 13 months. First, the heating element began intermittently shutting down and within two weeks just stopped working altogether. The lights still work, but the waffle iron doesn't. Of course the warranty has expired and repair would cost almost the full price of a new waffle iron. We loved using this wafflemaker and had great success for a short time. Didn't know about using a special type of oil as noted in one of the other reviews and had sticky junk accumulate on iron. We attempted to take off irons to clean and the screws would not hold in the hinges. No parts are available to replace. So, now we just have a broken waffle maker that falls apart when we rotate it because the screws won't hold anymore into the hinge. Thanks to the reviews of other buyers I went ahead and got this product. Amazon shipping was awesome as usual, and the quality and performance of the Waffle maker is great. It is easy to clean outside and inside, just make sure you use some Pam or any other type of oil spray to avoid the waffle from sticking to the surface. I haven't had this happened but I like to prevent.
In general the waffles have been great and done right, the alarm works well, but still keep an eye on it and make sure you remove the waffle by the time the steam is gone (it should beep, but just in case)

I would reccomend this anybody who likes belgian waffles. These are big waffles though, so if you're looking for small ones like the frozen ones, find another unit.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

I'm on my second waring wmk300. The first one died after 4 months of light use. The company was very responsive and would send a UPS pickup and pay all that shipping cost. Unfortunately, we're APO (Military overseas). We had to pay to ship it to a US addy, inconvenience family to wait for a pickup and then have them pay to ship it back to us.
So, this one lasted 3 months.
We have a family of 5. We use it 1-2x a month. Its not left on for any longer than to cook a batch of waffles--usuall 6 or 7.

You'll never need to make another trip to IHOP or to any other Restaurant to enjoy those delicious gigantic belgian waffles you find at said locations. The Waring Pro Waffle Maker is easy to use and as far as I could tell makes waffles nearly perfectly. I did find the settings to be a little underwhelming. If you want them just right you'll be using the highest settings. Its easy to clean as long as you use some PAM but I wish it would let you detach the pieces to make cleaning easier. The cooking timer works great letting you know when your waffles are ready. Its the closest you'll get to Restaurant style waffles at home. Highly recommended. Yep... makes the best waffles... delicious, easy to clean.. worth the price. Amazon shipped it and it was in perfect condition. When you start to get it out of the manufacturer's box, make sure you are careful because the little green measuring cup could fly across the room. Also, I set my setting a little over five to get the crispier crust/fluffy inside.

Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker Best Quality

DANGER... DANGER... DANGER... WASTE OF MONEY. (This review below is my experience with the WMK300 but during my research I found out it is a problem with all Waring Waffle Maker models.) I received the WMK300 from my girlfriend for Christmas in 2007. I loved it for the 3 months that it worked, than it wouldn't heat up anymore. I got upset and just put it in storage because I didn't want to make my girlfriend feel bad since she purchased it for me. So months went by and I forgot about it until I was craving waffles and it was a while since I visited IHOP. So, I decided to buy another one, with my girlfriends okay, and I started to do some research because I didn't want to waste money on something that wouldn't work again. I found out that the reason that it stopped heating up was because of a thermal fuse. I was excited because I wouldn't have to get another waffle maker I just had to replace the fuse. So about 3 weeks later it blew out again. I give up. Time to do more research and buy a different brand of waffle maker. So, if you are thinking about purchasing a waffle maker I would stay away from this type because during my research I found out that this is not an rare problem. SO STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS... KEEP ON LOOKING....Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

My recent purchase was a replacement for the previous generation Waring Pro which served me well for several years. Prior to trying the Waring Pro. I used the typical low cost waffle irons with thin and light waffle grates for decades and always experienced inconsistent results, but thought that was just what to expect from home-made waffles. After taking Alton Brown's advice on how to choose a waffle iron in one of his "Good Eats" shows, I selected the Waring Pro, and discovered that I could consistently bake waffles that were brown and crisp on the outside and moist cake like on the inside. Not only did the quality improve, but the waffles cook faster and more uniformly due to the thick heavy cooking grates. My waffle batter is a mixture of white and multi-grain flour with some walnuts, coconut, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla added to round out the flavors.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

My first waffle maker was the VillaWare V2002 UNO Belgian Waffler - Round, which was great for waffles, but I hated the cleanup. The VillaWare V2002 UNO Belgian Waffler - Round lasted me about 3 years or so and when the timer stopped working, so I decided it was time to look for a replacement.

When I started my research for a new waffle maker I wanted something that would have an audible timer, configurable cooking temperatures and easy cleanup. The Waring Pro WMK300A fit the bill perfectly. It's been over two years and I haven't looked back. I love the drip tray, which makes cleanup a cinch.

Here's some tips and recommendations on using the waffle maker:

* If you are using cooking spray make sure that you use the kind without flour, which means you'll almost never have to clean the inside griddle.
* I tend to like the outside of my waffle somewhat crispy and the inside soft, so I rotate the browning knob to just slightly past 5.
* Coat the griddles with cooking spray/oil before each waffle.
* When you pour the batter into the waffle maker you don't have to fill it all the way to the edges. I would recommend you pour the batter into the middle of the griddle and stop before the batter reaches the edge, which will help prevent an overflow when you close the top of the waffle maker.

Here's an easy waffle recipe that I use all the time at home to make waffles for the family. This recipe will yield 3 waffles, is pretty healthy and takes just a few minutes to put together.

* 1 1/2 Cups - Bisquick Heart Smart
* 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
* 2 Tablespoons Pure Vanilla Extract
* 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
* 2 Egg Whites
* 3/4 Cup of Skim Milk
* Tollhouse (or any other brand) Chocolate Chunks - sprinkle these on top of the waffles to your liking after pouring the batter into the waffle maker

Got this waffler at Costco for only 39.95 just a few months back! It looks impressive, and guests always comment on it. I make waffles for my family EVERY day because my son has a limited autism diet, and waffles are on the list, so I am thrilled to cook anything he'll eat. I had a Villaware waffler for 15 years until the hinge and browning dial finally broke. The Waring Pro has an on/off switch, browning setting, audible beeps when ready to pour and another beep to indicate when ready to remove, non-stick surface, and a stainless look, but...

1. Top plate of waffler stopped browning the top of waffles so was manually flipping the waffles by opening the iron to flip the waffle so one side would not be soft. For some reason, one day the heating element started working on top again.

2. Design of iron makes crevices too thin, paper thin, and other belgium wafflers I've used had better shape of waffles produced. Often it produces holes instead of recessed areas.

3. Batter spills like crazy from this waffler even when allowing 1/2" of no batter coverage on edge - there's no extra seam around the edge allowing for the overflow, just a pan underneath to catch the spilled batter - adding more to the dishes in sink. My Villaware never had this problem, and I make batter both from scratch, and from Bisquick. Hundreds of waffles were made with my Villaware without batter leaking all over. About 200+ waffles have been made with this Waring Pro, and batter always spills over edges. I tried everything, increasing the thickness consistency of the batter, but nothing ever worked to stop the guaranteed spillover.

4. Now after about three months of use, the handle just broke and won't stabilize in a level position anymore, it just spins making it dangerous to use.

I'm so disappointed. I had to run over to Target last night in an emergency effort to get a new waffle maker as knew my son would have a meltdown if no waffles for breakfast (he won't eat waffles at restaurants or diners, only ones I personally make). At Target, I bought their most expensive one - an Oster flipping model that makes far better shaped waffles but has no audible beeps which I really need when busy in the kitchen. I am looking into commercial restaurant wafflers next.

I'm sure Waring would probably replace for me - I know they have great reputation, but the job of preparing it to mail back, making phone calls, finding the original receipt, etc would waste a day of my time, so it's just going straight out to trash can. It's too bad as I thought I made a good purchase based on all the great Amazon reviews. It lasted us only about 3 months of daily use. I suspect most users only use on weekends for a few people. This one is not durable enough for daily use for more than a few people.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker

This waffle iron worked great until the 1-year warranty was up. We used this a little over 7 times over the year we had it, and it just quit heating right in the middle of making a waffle the last time we used it. We could not get it to heat up again. This is a piece of junk when you consider how long it lasts before it just stops heating. I would not recommend this waffle iron to anyone. I read the review about getting a new fuse, but really come on, this should last longer than 1 year before quitting, especially just using it around 7 times total. I am not very handy at replacing or fixing appliances, so this is very inconveient, and to take it to a repair shop for small appliances is just totally unacceptable at around $50.00 for repair. My suggestion, stay away from this waffle iron.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

Do not buy this waffle maker. I cannot stress this strongly enough. Plastic top piece cracks and screws separate after year or so of use and you are left with a falling apart useless wafflemaker. Its the ultimate landfill appliance. Save your pennies and buy a Villaware or better brand that will last decades, not months. Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker Top Quality

I received this as a wedding gift. I used it once and it made great waffles. It comes with a measuring cup which scoops the right amount of batter for a beautiful waffle. The indicator light lets you know it's ready to use, and when it's done cooking the waffle. The only problem is, after that initial use, it wouldn't heat up. It was under warranty so I exchanged it. Again, I used it once and it made beautiful waffles all morning. The next weekend I tried to use it again, and same thing, it wouldn't heat up. Are these disposable, one-time use appliances? I'm looking for a more reliable waffle maker.Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.

I REALLY wanted to like this waffle maker! I read all the reviews and despite a few reviews regarding the piece that breaks, I gave it a change. I shouldn't have.

I just received this waffle maker yesterday. I made my first batch of waffles and I was IN LOVE. They were the best waffles I've had in a long time! Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. The results were amazingly fluffy and yummy! Well, I made my second batch today and it the piece that holds the back part CRACKED! Just like the poor reviews! I'm so upset. I really loved the way it cooked waffles. Get more detail about Waring Pro WMK300A Professional Stainless-Steel Belgian Waffle Maker.
