First of all this is a reasonably priced - very deep waffle maker. All baking services are teflon coated. The waffles release easily and come out properly baked. This waffle maker just does a fine job. It is also light and is easy to move around the counter - I found the thermostat to be accurate and the temperature recovery from waffle to waffle was very good.
